The Universe Is On My Side

Off we go to meet Dr. Farooqui.
Do you believe in synchronicities?
I walk into Dr. Farooqui’s office and who do I see? The same woman behind the desk who was working at my family doctors office when I was navigating my only other health scare in 2012. I didn’t even think of it, but that ended up being a severe adverse reaction to artificial sweeteners – in my gum, protein powder, jam, yogurt – they put that $#!t in everything. I even found some in a dog treat, no way, I won’t eat it and Kalvin isn’t either. Absolutely not. That stuff is terrible: it probably kills birds with stones and so don’t shoot the messenger - I’ve got enough happening right now FOR me like cancer and a missing dog chew rope. And balls coming out of a hole in my armpit that I seriously thought was normal. The hole, not the balls. Incase Kalvin can read, which he might be able to – he’s really smart and sitting on my shoulder, I need to not squirrel off about ⚽️ 🏀 🏈
The beautiful souls and Dr. Farooqui explain to me that this cancer is not the hormonal type but the other type. The mass is too big for surgery right now so she is sending a referral to the cancer clinic for chemo and ordering a bone and CT scan, since my breathing is, let’s just say, unhappy at the moment.
They sent me with books about cancer and I could feel the love energetically in the little room that shares so much scary shit with so many women and people. Yet the energy was clear and peaceful. And real, very real.
Mikey: The roads are slippery. I’m going to drive Kylee into the city … what do you need, honey?
Me: A green Roots hoodie for Kalvin.
Mikey still has his communion money. And, Kal has a green Roots hoodie.
