CT Scan Day
It’s CT scan morning. After our walk Heather Kalvin sat and Anne kept me company as I drank the contrast and waited for the scan. People watching at the hospital is an event where you can learn and observe many things. We learned that parking is free because of the cyber attacks so that’s something good for the public to save a few bucks and we also learned that there may or may not be a dead body in a stolen car in the parking lot. I don’t know about Anne but I learned that I have really nice eyebrows. Then I started wondering about my eyebrows and what I’ll look like if they fall out. I’ve learned what to wear to avoid the hospital gowns and so I got to stay in my street clothes again and that’s much preferred to walking around with your ass out and nothing on your legs but your socks! I also survived the IV in my arm for all that time. I really don’t like anything belong put in my body. I closed my eyes and gave it permission but it really is difficult for me in a way the trauma counsellor in me has me strongly believe I must have an incident connected to this sort of invasion. I’ll hopefully find out in my sessions, which will be a giant gift. I also don’t get why but it’s been a struggle to keep my temperature regulated- I’m either freezing cold or sweating hot. I’m hoping the sweating hot comes back around soon because I’ve been cold for a solid 5 hours now. Under a heated blanket with Kalvin is where I’ll stay until it’s time to go see my client. I’m glad I’m getting to do a little bit of work again today, I’m also so thankful for Kalvin and good friends who consistently show up for me. Kalvin gets to come to work with me today too, and he’s super happy about that!
After work and some time with Craig the kids had Greek bowls ready for dinner. They actually tasted good so double winner! My taste buds aren’t off today! I’m really glad my kids know their way around the kitchen and decided to put that knowledge into action. I’m happy to report that no potatoes or people were harmed as another day winds down.
