Amie. The tests show of the 12 biopsies to the breast, all 12 are positive for cancer. The one biopsy from the lymph nodes is also positive for cancer. The tests show this is invasive ductal carcinoma and that it has metastasized (meaning it has travelled to the lymph nodes). I will refer you to a surgeon, Dr. Farooqui, she is wonderful. They will let you know the options, and surgery on part or all of your breast and what’s needed in the lymph nodes. You can expect this very soon, we want to act fast. I’m glad you found this. I’m going to send you for blood work next door. We need more testing to check your lungs and ensure this hasn’t spread anywhere else. Your breathing is laboured. Call me if you need anything.
